my discipline is there, my gumption is not

mal, that title is for you.

i've been fighting the barnyard flu for the last week. Besides the guttural hacking, the chills, the blinding headache, and the dry and raw surfaces of your nose and throat that as you breathe have even dryer air rushing over them, being sick isn't as awful as it could be.

I read an entire book, I listened to three sermons, and I slept. and slept. and slept and slept.

note: the length and depth of my post directly reflects the excitement in my life in the last week.

One more thing though. I've concluded that my favorite commercial is the membership awards points from AMEX card where they find a smiley face in EVERTHING. i love that. LOVE LOVE that. :)
